Blanket of wildfire haze, warm temperatures in store for Gillette on Tuesday

GILLETTE, Wyo. — Today will be hazy and warm in the Gillette area before breezes return by Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, Tuesday’s high will be near 90, with haze and smoke from western wildfires. Winds are expected to kick up overnight and into Wednesday.

The high on Wednesday will be 87 degrees, with gusts picking up to nearly 30 mph through the day and overnight.

Thursday will see a high again in the upper 80s and gusts of up to 30 mph. Friday will be cooler, with a high around 74 degrees and gusts of up to 22 mph. Highs in the 80s return over the weekend.
