GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Thunder Basin High School Bolts were kept off the scoreboard Friday as they faced the reigning 4A state champion Sheridan Broncos.

The Broncos, who opened their season with a 79–0 win against Cheyenne South, left Gillette with another in the win column after beating the Bolts 24–0. Their strong defense and running game combined with the Bolts’ struggle to connect on passes kept their four touchdowns unanswered from Thunder Basin.
