GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Southwest Area Incident Management Team, which has been managing fires in the area for the past few weeks, has issued an important reminder for those who had damage from fire suppression efforts on their property.

In a post made to Facebook on Tuesday afternoon, the group said that Wednesday, Sept. 4 is the last day to request information regarding suppression repair from the help line, which they announced last week.

In a community meeting in Gillette held on Aug. 27, the Management Team explained that reaching out through the phone number would help the team map out areas interested in receiving repairs for damage such as downed fencing.

The information would be documented and passed on to local authorities to take over once the team leaves the Gillette area.

The repairs apply to four fires in the region: Constitution, Flat Rock, House Draw and Remington.
