GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette will remain dry with above-average temperatures through the beginning of next week.
The National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, says the area will warm up today after a cold front Thursday knocked temperatures into the 70s. Expect a high of 85 under clear and sunny skies. There will be a south breeze at 5–9 mph with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Tonight will remain mostly clear as the low returns to about 54 degrees. A gentle breeze is forecast through the later part of the evening.
The rest of this week’s forecast shows a warming trend heading into the Labor Day holiday. Monday should be the warmest day of the forecast period with a high of 93. Windier conditions are expected Sunday with sustained wind speeds reaching 22 mph.
