GILLETTE, Wyo. — With the holiday weekend almost here, there are several facility closures across Gillette to be aware about this Labor Day.
The City of Gillette said in a press release Thursday afternoon that city facilities will be shuttered for the holiday, meaning no trash collection would take place on Monday, Sept. 2. On the following Tuesday after the long weekend, though, the city said solid waste collection crews would run a “double route” to collect trash, recycling and yard waste for all routes.
Other facilities in town such as the Campbell County Library and the Rec Center will also be modifying their hours for the holiday. Both the Gillette and Wright branches of the library will be closed all weekend, and the Rec Center will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2.
