The Campbell County Emergency Management team announced in a post on the Campbell County Government Facebook page Friday afternoon that current evacuation orders for the Weston Hills Recreation Area and pre-evacuation orders for parts of Gillette will stay in place Friday.
The county is currently under a red flag warning, which has been issued through 9 p.m. Saturday due to gusting winds and very low humidity. Those two factors will combine with high Saturday temperatures to create a high fire risk.
An update on existing fires in the area is expected from the Campbell County Fire Department sometime in the early evening Friday.
