Campbell County Fire Dept. Report (8/21/24)

GILLETTE, Wyo.—The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Wednesday, Aug. 21:

  • At 12:10 a.m. to the intersection of Interstate 90 and Skyline Drive for a two-vehicle collision.
  • At 8:05 a.m. to Hilight Road for an emergency medical response.
  • At 10:22 a.m. to 200 Garner Lake Road for an activated fire alarm.
  • At 10:28 a.m. to Moran Ranch Road for an unauthorized controlled burn.
  • At 11:08 a.m. to Schoonover Road for a grass fire. The fire was located in Johnson County and was contained to 88 acres. The fire was caused by lightning.
  • At 11:17 a.m. to 620 4-J Court for a broken gas line.
  • At 12:04 p.m. to Camel Drive for a two-vehicle collision.
  • At 12:45 p.m. to Ridge Way Road for a smoke report.
  • At 2:06 p.m. to mile marker 107 on Interstate 90 for a grass fire. The fire was less than an acre and was caused by a vehicle malfunction.
  • At 3:36 p.m. to Kingsbury Road for a smoke report.
  • At 3:51 p.m. to the area of West Echeta Road for a grass fire. This fire is named the Flat Rock Fire, and more information on it will be released soon.
  • At 3:58 p.m. to the area of the McGee Road for a grass fire. This fire is named the Constitution Fire, and more information on it will be released soon.
  • At 4:11 p.m. to 710 Horse Creek Road for a smoke report.
  • At 4:15 p.m. to 347 Lawver Road for a grass fire. The fire was less than an acre and was caused by lightning.
  • At 4:18 p.m. to 5103 Tarry Street for an activated carbon monoxide alarm.
  • At 4:27 p.m. to 1012 Highway 50 for an activated fire alarm.
  • At 4:30 p.m. to 3 Force Road for a smoke report.
  • At 4:32 p.m. to 8 S-A Road for a smoke report.
  • At 4:36 p.m. to North Highway 14-16 for a smoke report.
  • At 4:39 p.m. to Weston Hills for a smoke report.
  • At 4:40 p.m. to Adon Road for a smoke report.
  • At 4:48 p.m. to 69 Franklin Ave. for a smoke report.
  • At 5:10 p.m. to Taylor Road for a smoke report.
  • At 8:35 p.m. to 1715 W. 2nd St. for an activated fire alarm.
  • At 8:59 p.m. to 900 Granite St. for a gas odor investigation.
  • At 9:12 p.m. to Pathfinder Circle for an emergency medical response.
  • At 9:25 p.m. to 1408 Rocky Point Road for a timber fire. Landowners in the area were able to extinguish the fire prior to CCFD’s arrival on scene.

Year to date, the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 2,156 requests for service.
