GILLETTE, Wyo. — As the 2024 primary election gets underway today, Campbell County officials are asking those visiting the courthouse today for their patience.
According to a Facebook post, the county had sufficient numbers of election judges signed up prior to the election, but unforeseen circumstances have forced several to be absent on Election Day. To help the election flow as smoothly as possible, the county has shuffled staff from the Campbell County Clerks office to step in and help at the polls.
However, to be able to help out with the election, that means the county has closed the title office for the day, as staff are unable to run both that and assist with voters. Some staff remain in the clerk’s office, though, and will be “assisting staff as efficiently as possible,” according to the post.
No voting will be held at the courthouse today. To find your polling place and learn more about candidates, check out County 17’s 2024 Campbell County Primary Voting Guide.
