GILLETTE, Wyo. — The 2024 International Pathfinder Camporee is right around the corner, kicking off Sunday night with a community-wide invitation to see a Camporee production on a live stage.
On Aug. 4, Gillette residents are invited to bring their chairs to view a first-time, history-making presentation of the Camporee production including a brief music set and a ventriloquist act, according to the Seventh Day Adventist Church, North America Division.
According to Ron Whitehead, executive director of the International Pathfinder Camporee, the community night is a new offering inspired by community requests to attend the mainstage program.
The 2024 International Pathfinder Camporee will use its five years of planning to bring its vision “Believe the Promise” to life with extensive work from contractors, artists, scriptwriters, musicians, actors and thousands of volunteers, the Seventh Day Adventist Church reports.
The community night is a one-time offering as a way for the Pathfinder Camporee to thank the community for playing host. Interested residents may bring a chair or blanket, with free parking behind the Arbuckle Lodge, 1400 S. Garner Lake Road, and the show starting at 7:30 p.m.
According to the CAM-PLEX, the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 4.
