GILLETTE, Wyo. — Gillette police arrested two people for child endangerment and drug possession following a Sunday afternoon seizure of methamphetamine and paraphernalia, Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said.
Bobby Jolly, 38, and Bridgette Noe, 46, were both taken into custody for felony child endangerment and felony drug possession after Gillette officers responded to a park on East 4th Street around 2:18 p.m. July 28 for a report of a small unattended child, Wasson said.
The initial report stated a woman left a small child alone while in the bathroom for an extended period, Wasson said.
A drug dog was deployed on Jolly’s vehicle after officers arrived on the scene and indicated positively to the odor of a controlled substance. A subsequent search yielded three syringes loaded with a gram of suspected methamphetamine in addition to paraphernalia with meth residue, according to Wasson.
Jolly and Noe admitted to recently smoking and injecting methamphetamine while in the presence of Noe’s 5-year-old daughter, Wasson said, adding that the two adults were arrested while the girl was taken into protective custody.
Jolly was also served with a Natrona County warrant for failing to appear on a domestic battery charge, per Wasson.
