It’s a weekend of big entertainment at the Campbell County Fair. Extreme Jousting and Swordfights, Freestyle Motosports and Mega Trucks, Dachshund Races, and more free entertainment than one can shake a stick (or medieval sword) at.
Today started off with the Youth Swine Show at 8 a.m., and the show is expected to continue through most of the day. 4-H and FFA youth are showing their pigs in the Central Pavilion. Many of these pigs will sell at the Youth Livestock Sale on Sunday, July 28 (more on that later).
From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and tomorrow, check out the Trade Show in the Wyoming Center, get a look at 4-H, FFA and Open Class Static Exhibits, and enjoy some free entertainment.
The Free Stage is playing host to singer/songwriter Cale Moon, who will perform on Friday and Saturday at 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Moon is a new breed of pure country music! Born the son of a long-haul truck driver, Cale grew up loving the blue-collar American way of life: Hard work, diesel fumes, dirt, guns, God, family and freedom. His music is inspired by everyday life as it happens in the lives of everyday folks.
When he isn’t singing one of his own songs, Moon takes audience requests. Sitting in the Free Stage Tent, it feels like you’re listening to the original artist. And he’s not above doing what the audience wants, having played “Baby Shark” at the request of Wednesday fair attendees from Children’s Development Services of Campbell County.
Wyoming girl Jamie Hansen had her first performance on the Free Stage today after a call-in on FOX Country 100.7 where morning show host Terry Michael played her appropriately titled song, “Waitin’ for the Weekend” (check it out on Spotify or iTunes).
Hansen will be on the Free Stage three times daily, Friday and Saturday, at 1, 3 and 5:30 p.m. Her original pop country sound fits in well on playlists next to Tenille Arts, Kelsea Ballerini, Taylor Swift and Avery Anna, and Hansen will also be singing the national anthem before the Nights of Valour Extreme Jousting show tonight.
Back again for a second year, Bear Hollow Wood Carving is again amazing audiences at the 2024 Campbell County Fair. Chainsaws and logs come together to form incredible pieces of art in front of the audience’s eyes, with the smell of sawdust in the air. Bear Hollow performs Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. behind the Wyoming Center on the Plaza.
Inside the Wyoming Center, the annual trade show is running, along with Action Entertainment’s remote-controlled race cars, Patrick’s Putt-Putt Mini Golf and the World’s Funnest Photo Booth — all free entertainment that has appeared at past Campbell County Fairs. Those areas are generally open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Wyoming Center is open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and tomorrow. Magician and Comedian Jeff Martin will also be strolling the Wyoming Center from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m.
Returning after five years, Wild Science! brings life-size STEM and STEAM activities to the Campbell County Fair. This year Wild Science! has life-size chess, big maps, a lightning globe, blocks, magnetic tiles and a number of other activities to get your kids’ minds going. Chairs are available for moms, dads, grandmas and granddads who want a seat while the kids stay busy.
The Wyoming Center is also home to the first clue of the fair’s new Scavenger Hunt, hosted by University of Wyoming Campbell County Cooperative Extension’s Community Vitality and Health educator. To play, download the Campbell County Fair app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Click on Scavenger Hunt on the main screen. Want to play old school? Stop by the Information Center in the Wyoming Center to pick up a paper form. Once you’ve completed the hunt, come back to the Wyoming Center and claim your prize (gift certificates for ice cream, mini donuts and snacks donated by local businesses and fair vendors).
The Caricature Entertainment is also offering free caricatures to fair attendees in the Wyoming Center Frontier Hall Lobby. Stop by between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. and remember that lines can get long — so arrive earlier in the day if you want to move more quickly through the line.
Outside on the Plaza, Freckle Farm Petting Zoo is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with opportunities for your little people to get up close with the animals. Action Entertainment’s bouncers and obstacle course and the Illusions Plus Paintless Paintball Course are both tons of fun. The bubble tower and stilts are also available both days.
New to the Campbell County Fair, the Wild West Disgo Show runs at 12:15, 3:45 and 6:15 p.m. under the Plaza Tent. From the dusty trails of the Wild West to the world stage, Disgo’s journey into the realm of magic began as the amiable sidekick to the legendary Ole’ Doc EZee, traveling far and wide to mesmerize audiences with Doc’s Miracle Elixir. As the trusted accomplice to the charismatic conman and snake oil salesman, Disgo honed his skills in the art of illusion, comedy, and entertainment, captivating crowds with his quick wit and dazzling performances.
Extreme Jousting & Swordfights
Friday, July 26, the Knights of Valour Extreme Jousting troupe will entertain fairgoers with extreme, full-contact jousting and authentic swordfights.
In 1997, Shane Adams entered his first competitive tournament at the U.S. International Jousting Championships in Estes Park, Colorado. On a borrowed horse, using unfamiliar equipment, he raised his lance to the challenge and won the title, turning his childhood dream into a reality.
The Knights of Valour have been entertaining North American audiences with exciting shows of horsemanship, bravery and chivalry ever since, with the group now being the largest extreme full-contact jousting company in the world.
If you recognize Shane’s name, it may because he was the executive producer and host of “History’s Full Metal Jousting” and has also appeared on other History shows like “The Unexplained” and “Dark Marvels.”
The Knights of Valour will be joined by sword and medieval combat fighters, many of whom have competed for Team USA in their respective divisions, with sparks flying as real medieval swords come in contact with helmets and other protective gear.
Tickets are available online at cam-plex.com or at Morningside Park. Tickets are $15 for adults, youth 6–12 are $10, and kids 5 and under are free.
Insanity Fest
Wrapping up the 2024 Campbell County Fair entertainment schedule, make sure you’re at the Morningside Park on Saturday, July 26 for Insanity Fest Freestyle Motocross & Mega Trucks.
This action-packed thrill show features some of the top talent in the world!

Tickets are only $15 for adults, youth 6–12 are $10, and kids 5 and under are free!
Youth Livestock Sale
The fair will end with the annual Youth Livestock Sale. Join 4-H and FFA members as they sell their market beef, market swine, market lambs, market goats, poultry and rabbits. The day begins with a free buyer lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the sale beginning at 1 p.m.
