GILLETTE, Wyo. — From Thursday to Saturday, Gillette is offering multiple free and fundraising events to enjoy.

Ranch Rodeo

Mutton bustin’, Calcutta, mini bull riding and ranch rodeo teams will compete in the Campbell County Fair Ranch Rodeo on Thursday, July 25. Gates open for the event at 4:30 p.m. The rodeo begins at 6 p.m. at the CAM-PLEX, 1619 Reata Drive.

Downtown Thursday Night: Muskrat Monarchy

Thursday, July 25, Downtown Thursday Nights continues at 3rd Street Plaza. The free event highlighting the band Muskrat Monarchy will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. The six-week concert series will feature a kids zone, food carts and more fun for all ages.

Mule Deer Palooza

The Big Lost Meadery, 105 Warren Ave., is inviting the community to the Mule Deer Palooza. The Thunder Basin Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation will be hosting a raffle at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25. At the free event, seven prizes, valued at $350 to over $2,000 per prize, are planned to be raffled off at a silent auction.

4th Annual Music & Mugs

Artist Nancy Brown and Pickles at AVA Community Arts Center

The AVA Community Art Center will host its Fourth Annual Music & Mugs event on Friday, July 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees of the event will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase unique ceramic items produced by local potters. Local musician Brandon Anderson will be featured to perform live music throughout the evening at the family event.

24th annual Children’s Charity Golf Tournament: Boys & Girls Club

The 24th annual Children’s Charity Golf Tournament for the Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County is set for Saturday, July 27 at 8 a.m. The event features prizes on every hole, as well as first- and second-place prizes for each flight, a 50/50 raffle, drinking opportunities, a photo booth and more. All proceeds raised will remain in Campbell County to support the youth in the community and provide new learning and engagement opportunities for members attending the club’s before- and after-school programs.

Wheels for Awareness Cancer Fundraiser: Car and Bike Meet

Wheels for Awareness Cancer Fundraiser welcomes all car, bike or UTV enthusiasts to enjoy live music, raffles and free food on Saturday, July 27 from 1 to 6 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go to Paint White’s Frontier Motors, 444 Skyline Drive.

Party in the Back Mullet Contest

Campbell County Fair’s Party in the Back Mullet Contest is back again on Saturday, July 27 at 2 p.m. The winner will score the highest in one or more categories, including curliest mullet, longest mullet, thickest mullet and straightest mullet. The $10 entry fee will support Campbell County Fair Youth Awards. Enter here. The event will take place at the CAM-PLEX, 1619 Reata Drive.

Watermelon Eating Contest

The Campbell County Fair and North East Wyoming Farmers Artisans Ranchers Regional Market are joining forces again this year to host their annual Watermelon Eating Contest on Saturday, July 27. The event will be held at the CAM-PLEX Plaza Tent, 1635 Reata Drive, starting at 2 p.m. The $10 entry free will support Campbell County Fair youth awards. The event is open to community members over age 5. Cash prizes will be awarded. To enter, click here.

Youth Livestock Sale: Campbell County Fair

The annual Youth Livestock Sale and free Buyer Appreciation Lunch will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 28. The sale starts at 1 p.m. in the CAM-PLEX Central Pavilion, 1635 Reata Drive. Last year’s sale included 108 market swine, 49 market beef, 40 market lambs, 14 market goats, 20 poultry meat pens and four rabbit meat pens. For a sale catalog, visit this website.
