Drugs, July 24, South 4-J Road, GPD
A 38-year-old woman was arrested on a probation and parole sanction and for drug use after she reportedly called for law enforcement assistance at the Waystation around 7:27 a.m., Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said. The woman displayed signs of recent drug use and admitted to using methamphetamine. She was arrested at the request of the Probation and Parole Office.
Crash, July 24, Garner Lake Road, GPD
Officers cited a 34-year-old man for operating an unsafe vehicle following a trailer crash on Garner Lake Road around 5:01 p.m., Wasson said. The man was using the wrong ball hitch on his 2024 Dodge Ram, allowing the trailer to unhitch when he crossed over the railroad tracks and resulting in over $1,000 in damage.
Drugs, July 25, Osborne Avenue, GPD
Deputies arrested a 26-year-old man for drug possession following a July 25 traffic stop near Osborne Avenue and East 3rd Street around 12:45 a.m., Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds said. During the stop, the man was found to have an active warrant and a drug dog indicated on his maroon Ford F-250. A search of the vehicle yielded 1.37 grams of methamphetamine concealed in a cigarette box on the floorboard.
Property destruction, July 25, Highway 14-16, GPD
Officers responded to a bar on Highway 14-16 to investigate a property destruction report around 2:42 a.m., Wasson said. A 41-year-old man said someone broke out multiple windows on his 1989 GMC while it was parked at the bar. The damage was estimated to be around $500, and the investigation is ongoing.
