GILLETTE, Wyo. — Summertime is in full swing in Gillette, accompanied by sunny, mostly clear skies and seasonal temps.
The National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, has forecast a high of 88 today under mostly sunny skies. There’ll be a cooler breeze coming in from the north at 8–15 mph with gusts as high as 21 mph. That wind will stick around through the day and into tonight as the low drops to 60 under mostly clear skies.
A sunny Saturday is forecast with a high of 85. Sunny skies will be joined by a northeast breeze at 9–14 mph that will also stick around into the night. The low will be near 58 as skies become partly cloudy.
Sunday could bring a 20% chance for showers and thunderstorms after noon. The day will otherwise be sunny with a high near 83. Skies again will become partly cloudy for the night. The low will be near 58.
Monday is the coolest day of the forecast period with a high of 83. Sunny skies are forecast, along with a south wind. Skies should remain clear into Monday night as the low falls to around 58.
Next week will see a warming trend as sunny skies prevail. Tuesday’s high will be near 88 while Wednesday will see 92 and Thursday 95. Lows will be in the low 60s.
