Gillette Police (City of Gillette)

GILLETTE, Wyo. — A man reported for huffing a can of air duster on South Douglas Highway was arrested after allegedly trying to claim a woman’s baby as his own Monday night, according to the Gillette Police Department.

The man, identified on July 9 as a 40-year-old resident, faces charges of unlawfully using a toxic substance and breach of peace after officers responded to reports of him huffing air duster and acting strangely on the 2300 block of South Douglas Highway around 7:20 p.m., Gillette Police Cpl. Dan Stroup said.

The man was agitated and denied the huffing allegations, though witnesses told officers the man accosted a 19-year-old woman and attempted to claim her infant child as his own, per Stroup, who said officers ultimately took the man into custody.
