GILLETTE, Wyo. — On Tuesday, Hesston Krause announced his resignation as vice-chairman for the Campbell County Republican Party.
According to a resignation letter, Krause tendered his resignation following a decision to change careers and move outside of Campbell County.
“I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your vice chairman,” Krause wrote. “It has been an honor to work alongside each one of you, and [it] has been an incredible learning experience. I appreciate and admire your dedication to serving our community, and helping to shape the future of our nation.”
Per an announcement, the Campbell County GOP intends to fill the vacancy soon, opening a call for interested registered Republicans to apply to serve out Krause’s remaining term — approximately five months before new officer elections. All applications are due before July 16 at 5 p.m.
The vacancy will be filled by the party’s executive committee, with a ratification vote required by the Central Committee during a regular meeting on July 17.
