Campbell County Fire Dept. Report (7/4/24)

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Thursday, July 4:

  • At 11:19 a.m. to Rockpile Boulevard for a hazmat response.
  • At 11:23 p.m. to the intersection of 4-J Road and 2nd Street for a vehicle trailer and pedestrian collision.
  • At 3:23 p.m. to South Douglas Highway and Madison Street for a two-vehicle collision.
  • At 4:53 p.m. to Highway 51 for a motorcycle collision.
  • At 6:04 p.m. to Hi Line Road for a vehicle fire.
  • At 7:23 p.m. to Tyler Avenue for an emergency medical response.
  • At 8:59 p.m. to Hidden Valley Road for an emergency medical response.
  • At 9:05 p.m. to the intersection of East Collins Road and Market Street Court for a report of a vehicle fire. No fire was located in the area.
  • At 9:45 p.m. to Freedom Road for an authorized controlled burn.
  • At 9:52 p.m. to J Cross Avenue for an emergency medical response.
  • At 10:38 p.m. to the 4400 block of Highway 50 for a garbage pit that caught fire from a firework.
  • At 10:52 p.m. to West 6th Street for an emergency medical response.
  • At 11:08 p.m. to Beaver Drive for a report of a firework on fire on a park bench. The fire was extinguished prior to fire units’ arrival. Fire personnel sprayed the remaining hot areas and checked surrounding area for extension.
  • At 11:37 p.m. to Highway 51 for an emergency medical response.

Year to date, the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 1,617 requests for service.
