Local July 4 weekend events

GILLETTE, Wyo. — From Thursday to Sunday, Gillette is offering multiple free and fundraising events to enjoy over the Independence Day weekend.

Hoskinson Health and Wellness Clinic July 4 Celebration

The Hoskinson Health and Wellness Clinic, Hoskinson Contracting and Twin Pine Bison Company are welcoming community members and veterans to a July 4 celebration. The event will be at 410 E. 2nd St. and will begin at 8 a.m.

The event will begin with coffee and donuts from Morning Joy Coffee and Breanna’s Bakery. Burgers and hot dogs will be served from The Patty Wagon, tacos from Hot Taco and shaved ice from The Drift. The event will finish with cotton candy from Dandy Candy and desserts from Mama Johna’s Cakes.

Guests are welcome to meet the clinic’s teams, learn about the expansion project and view some of the contracting team’s heavy equipment. A Black Hawk helicopter will also be available to view at the event.

Burgers, Brats and BBQ with the American Legion

The American Legion Post is set to hold its burger, brats and barbecue event at 200 Rockpile Blvd. The event will begin after the parade and will feature live music by Ava Flotkoetter at 1 p.m. and Barstool Cowboys Way Out West at 1:45.

CAM-PLEX Fireworks Display

The Campbell County Parks and Recreation Department will host a firework display on July 4 beginning at 10 p.m. The free event will be at the CAM-PLEX Morningside Park, 1635 Reata Drive. The CAM-PLEX recommends that guests arrive early for parking and bring chairs or blankets as well as bug spray. Additionally, event-goers can tune into radio station 105.3.

Campbell County July 4 Celebration

Campbell County Parks and Recreation will host a variety of activities and events for Independence Day highlighting the “let freedom ring” theme. From 6 to 9 a.m., the firefighter pancake feed will take place at 106 Rohan Ave. At 7:15 a.m., the Gillette Physical Therapy Run/Walk will begin at the Bicentennial Soccer Fields, 300 W. Warlow Drive. The parade begins at 10 a.m. on 2nd Street. A flyover from Ellsworth Air Force Base will occur during the parade. Events at the Bicentennial Park begin at noon and will include a live DJ, a hot dog feed, mud volleyball, a pie eating contest, a strongman/women competition, kids games and a jump house.

Men’s Breakfast with Campbell County Health

The event designed to help men in the community find valuable resources for dealing with cancer will be at the Best Western Tower West Lodge, 109 N. US-14-16, at 9 a.m. The event will take place this Friday, July 5.

All Grit No Quit Youth Bull Riding Event

The Underground Bull Riders Productions presents the All Grit No Quit Youth and Open Bull Riding Event at the CAM-PLEX, 1635 Reata Drive, on July 6. One performance will begin at 10 a.m., and another will occur at 7 p.m.

Friends and Family Days at the Gillette Gun Club

The daily pass fee will be waived at the Gillette Gun Club on Saturday and Sunday, July 6 and 7. The free event hours are from 8 a.m to 8 p.m. at 706 Hannum Road.
