GILLETTE, Wyo. — From Thursday to Sunday, Gillette offers multiple free and fundraising events to enjoy.

Gardening for Kids 

Kids can learn about bugs, planting and gardening on Thursday, June 27 at the Gardening for Kids event, hosted by the Campbell County Master Gardeners. The free event highlights scavenger hunts, crafts, bird feeders, pollinator counts and walking tours. The event will be held at 412 S. Gillette Ave. and will run from 4 to 7 p.m.

Ashley Wineland at Downtown Thursday Nights

On Thursday, June 27, Downtown Thursday Nights returns at 3rd Street Plaza. The free event highlighting artist Ashley Wineland will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. The concert series offers additional performances on July 11, 18 and 25, as well as Aug. 1.

Open Mic Night

Take a turn in the spotlight at the Frontier Auto Museum Open Mic Night, 205 S. Ross Ave., Gillette. The event will take place June 27 from 6 to 10 p.m. The event is free to anyone who would like to listen or perform.

Campbell County Cutting

The Campbell County Cutting highlights a horsemanship event from Friday, June 28 through Sunday, June 30 at 8 a.m. at the CAM-PLEX, 635 Reata Drive. For three days, horsemen will sort cattle from the herd at the free-attendance event.

Meet & Greet: Sundance Wicks

Sundance Wicks, head coach of the University of Wyoming men’s basketball team, is scheduled for a meet and greet event at the Gillette Senior Center, 701 Stocktrail Ave., on Friday, June 28 at 5:30 p.m.

Homemade and More Summer Cool Down Craft Fair

The Summer Cool Down Craft Fair features an opportunity to take a break from the heat, grab goodies and check out food trucks from a variety of vendors. The event will begin Saturday, June 29, running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and continue on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the CAM-PLEX, 1619 Reata Drive.

64th Annual Gillette Little Levi Rodeo

The 64th Annual Gillette Little Levi Rodeo is set to take place Saturday, June 29 at 8:30 a.m. at the CAM-PLEX Wrangler Arena, 1298 Broken Spur Road. Contestants ranging from 6 to 15 years old will compete in events from pole bending to steer riding. Pee-wee contestants can compete in the stick horse race, obstacle race and more. The princess and queen contest will be held on Friday, June 28 at 6 p.m.

Wildflower Walk

Ranger Katie and Ranger Olivia will guide a tour of the new pollinator garden and a walk to identify the native vegetation. The garden was made possible by a grant received from Stihl and is made of native flowering plants. Event participants will meet at the Pollinator Garden, Coulter Bay Campground, 100 Colter Bay Campground Road, at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29. The free event is open to all ages.

Hank Cramer Live Music at Rockpile Museum

The Rockpile Museum welcomes Hank Cramer for live cowboy and folk music on Saturday, June 29 at 7 p.m. The free-admission concert reminds fans to bring lawn chairs and friends to the event at the museum, 900 W. 2nd St.
