Early in the morning on June 12, 2024, Delores (Dee) Katherine Likewise, beloved mother of three sons and grandmother of seven, was called to heaven and passed peacefully while surrounded by loved ones.

Her strength for family and faith in the church left a void that cannot be replaced.

Delores was born on July 31, 1944, in De Smet, South Dakota to Earl and Clara Cavanaugh. She was raised in De Smet until visiting her sister in Gillette, Wyoming in 1962 where she met Larry and was married in January 1963, and began her longstanding family life.

Delores enjoyed holiday gatherings and traveling to see family and her grandchildren. She loved reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Delores touched many lives in generous ways, often leading to lifelong friendships. Over the course of several years, she was a mother to over fifty foster children providing love and strength during difficult times in their lives. She retired from Wyodak Coal Mine where she spent 28 years working in various positions. Many people have very fond memories of her personally shopping to pick out a personalized Christmas present for each child attending the company Christmas party.

Edward “Eddie” Lynn Pittman, 72, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 after a battle with COPD and cancer.
