GILLETTE, Wyo.— The Gillette Thunder Speedway will be hosting Pack The Stands Night this Saturday, offering free admission as part of a fundraiser with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Campbell County.
The speedway stated in a Facebook post that the event is free to spectators to show their appreciation for fans and those who had sponsored cars at the track. The post also reminds attendees that, as always, no outside food or beverages are permitted.
Along with free admission, they are also accepting donations for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Campbell County, seeking a variety of toys and gear for summer. The list includes art supplies, sunscreen and sidewalk chalk, among other items. Cash donations are also accepted.
Gates open at 6 p.m., with races beginning at 7. Six different classes of cars will be racing Saturday, including GTS Mini Bomber and Open Late Models. Check out the Gillette Thunder Speedway website for more information about racing or other events this season.
