Roger Joseph Roth: 1949 – 2024
Roger Roth, longtime Gillette resident, loving father, devoted husband, and amazing grandfather, was reunited with the love of his life after having lost a short battle with cancer on June 6, 2024.
Roger was a gift to his parents, Norbert and Ellen (Laffey), Roth in Mitchell, SD on Dec. 26, 1949, and was one of three boys brought up on the family ranch in Stickney, South Dakota. He relocated to Gillette, Wyoming as a young man and began his over 30-year career at Davis Chevrolet as an auto body technician. Roger enjoyed traveling, horseshoes, family, beer, and animals of all kinds.
Roger met and married the love of his life in 1987, to which he gained a stepdaughter, and later three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Roger had made many lifelong friends to which he remained close to until his passing.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 21 years, Christine Marie Roth (Terry); brother, Ronnie (Diane) Roth; nephew, Christopher Roth; and his parents. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Kodi (Bart) Majors; grandchildren: Jeremy (Khrystene) Majors, Maddisyn (Logan) Geiser, Justin (Jake) Majors; great-granddaughter, Joy Majors; and brother, Dale (Dorothy) Roth.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
