Campbell County Fire Dept. Report (5/28/24)

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Tuesday, May 28:

  • At 12:26 a.m. to Robin Drive for an emergency medical response.
  • At 8:06 a.m. to Bishop Road for an emergency medical response.
  • At 9:45 a.m. to the 1100 block of Indian Hills Drive for a punctured gas line. Firefighters quickly stopped the leaking gas.
  • At 10:33 a.m. to East Laramie Street for an automatic collision notification. No incident was found upon arrival.
  • At 10:39 a.m. to West Southern Drive for an automatic collision notification. No incident was found upon arrival.
  • At 1:32 p.m. to North Gurley Avenue for an emergency medical response.
  • At 1:55 p.m. to South Highway 59 and Dalby Bridge for an emergency medical response.
  • At 2:55 p.m. to the intersection of South Highway 59 and Breene Road for a two-vehicle collision.
  • At 5:01 p.m. to East 5th Street for an emergency medical response.
  • At 9:32 p.m. to Rampart Drive for an emergency medical response.
  • At 11:23 p.m. to the 400 block of Reno Road for a structure fire. Coal within the coal barn containing over 60,000 tons of coal caught fire. Crews were able to contain the fire to one end of the building by 4:15 a.m. CCFD firefighters were assisted on scene by NARM employees.

Year to date, the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 1,266 requests for service.
