GILLETTE, Wyo. — Residents looking for a new friend to care for, and to receive care from, could find them on a deal today.
The City of Gillette Animal Shelter is hosting a Memorial Day special adoption event with discounted adoption fees for military personnel and their spouses or veterans.
From 1 to 5 p.m. at 950 W. Warlow Drive in Gillette, dogs and cats will be available for just $20, with an added $3 fee for adopters living within city limits due to the city’s license fee. Military personnel, their spouses and veterans will get a $5 discount on the adoption fee.
Furry friends come spayed/neutered with their current vaccinations and a microchip.
Those seeking to adopt are asked to bring a leash and collar for dogs and a carrier for cats.
