GILLETTE, Wyo. — Families looking to cool off this summer can now do so at the Energy Capital Sports Complex Splash Pad.
On Monday, the City of Gillette announced that the Splash Pad at 3400 Garner Lake Road is now open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is subject to close any time for weather, maintenance or other operational concerns, the city said.
The city also offered some tips and rules for using the Splash Pad:
- This is an unsupervised facility; there is no lifeguard on duty.
- Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Swim diapers are required for children who are not toilet trained.
- All wet surfaces have the potential to be slippery. Water shoes are encouraged.
- Concessions will be available on site beginning on Thursday, June 9.
