Campbell County Fire Dept. Report (4/24/24)

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Wednesday, April 24:

  • At 1:24 a.m. to Echeta Road for an emergency medical response.
  • At 9:39 a.m. to South Emerson Avenue for an emergency medical response.
  • At 10 a.m. to Evening Shadow Court for a hit gas line.
  • At 12:37 a.m. to Country Club Road for a hazardous material investigation.
  • At 5:30 p.m. to the 100 block of Shober Road for a structure fire. CCFD arrived on scene at 5:40 to an approximate 8-foot by 10-foot outbuilding that was fully involved in fire. Five firefighters and one chief responded and were able to place the fire under control at 5:46 p.m. Crews remained on scene until 6:30 p.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
  • At 6:59 p.m. to the 1400 block of Hilight Road for a grass fire. The fire burned three-tenths of an acre and was started by an ember from a flare stack. One unit and two firefighters operated on scene.
  • At 8:46 p.m. to Highway 51 for an emergency medical response.

Year to date, the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 997 requests for service.
