GILLETTE, Wyo. — Fire Station 9 will now be staffed continuously for 24 hours every day of the week, the Campbell County Fire Department announced in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
“We appreciate the hard work of the part-time firefighters who respond day and night. We couldn’t have an effective response without everyone’s participation,” the Department said in the post.
The department also thanked the County Fire Board, the city of Gillette, Campbell County and the town of Wright for their support and leadership to make the staffing changes possible.
The Campbell County Fire Department maintains 10 fire stations across the county, three of which are now staffed full-time. Other stations across the county are dispatched as needed, according to their website.
