GILLETTE, Wyo. — A man was arrested last night after allegedly attacking a woman on Desert Hills Circle and threatening her with a knife, Gillette Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said.
Officers were dispatched to the area at 10 p.m. March 27 after a 54-year-old woman called the police to report Chauncey Lamoureux, 23, was intoxicated and verbally aggressive toward her daughter, a 23-year-old, Wasson said.
The two women attempted to leave the Desert Hills Circle residence, upsetting Lamoureux to the point that the 23-year-old woman locked herself in a room while her mother stood guard outside, per Wasson.
Lamoureux grabbed the 54-year-old woman by the arms and threw her into a wall and a door, Wasson said, adding that he held a kitchen knife 6 inches from her while threatening to cut her.
Officers took Lamoureux into custody for felony aggravated assault and battery, per Wasson, who said Lamoureux was also charged with violating the terms of his probation.
