LARAMIE, Wyo. — The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will be able to avoid a first-round postseason game after receiving a bye in the Women’s NIT bracket, which was announced Monday afternoon.
The Cowgirls’ first opponent in the WNIT will be the winner of UTSA and Northern Colorado, who play Thursday evening.
The second round of the tournament will be held March 23–26. The location and time of the Cowgirls’ second-round matchup has yet to be announced.
