GILLETTE, Wyo. — A teenage girl is in custody after allegedly trying to stab her older sister with a kitchen knife Saturday night, Gillette Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said.
The girl has only been identified as a 17-year-old resident of Watsabaugh Drive, where she allegedly attempted to stab her 18-year-old sister for videoing an argument on March 2 around 10:22 p.m., Wasson said.
According to the report, the 17-year-old girl was arguing with her mother, 36, when she saw her sister taking a video. She armed herself with a kitchen knife and attempted to stab the 18-year-old while yelling she was going to kill her.
The 18-year-old was not injured and officers were called to the residence by the 36-year-old woman, who reported her 17-year-old daughter was out of control, per Wasson, who said the teenager began resisting after being taken into custody for felony aggravated assault.
According to Wasson, the 17-year-old girl was additionally charged with interference and possessing tobacco while under the age of 21 after officers located a vaping device on her.
