GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County Health has agreed to purchase the Gillette News Record building in what it says is a strategic move to enhance local healthcare services, the healthcare organization said Friday.
Purchasing the building, which is located at the intersection of South Burma Avenue and 2nd Street, is part of the healthcare organization’s efforts to improve patient care and ensure it has enough room to house newly attracted providers, according to CCH Public Relations Lead Norberto Orellana.
“We expect to finalize the acquisition of the building in the coming weeks and are currently deciding how we will optimally utilize the building to free up clinical space at the hospital,” Orellana said in a statement provided to County 17. “We are excited about this opportunity to enhance our ability to see patients, shorten wait times, and enhance revenue for the organization.”
Orellano did not specifically state how much CCH plans to pay for the building.
The Gillette News Record expects to move into its new office on South Douglas Highway by the end of March, the newspaper posted on its social media page.
