GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Feb. 17:
- At 12:01 a.m. to West Valley Drive for an emergency medical response.
- At 12:52 a.m. to 2611 Mohan Road for a reported structure fire. Crews arrived to visible fire and heavy smoke coming from a storage building/shop garage. The structure contained approximately 60 tons of hay and multiple vehicles. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the hay and stop it before it extended to the passenger vehicles. Two semi-tractor-trailers were also fully involved in fire, both on the exterior of the structure and total losses. The fire was contained at 12:18 p.m., with crews battling both temperatures in the negatives and difficulty accessing the stacked hay. On-site owners and employees used heavy equipment to pull all the hay from the structure, which will continue to burn for several days. CCFD was assisted on the scene by the Gillette Police Department and Campbell County Health EMS. No injuries or loss of life were reported, and the fire remains under investigation.
- At 1:34 p.m. to West Warlow Drive for an emergency medical response.
- At 3:13 p.m. to East Walnut Street for an activated fire alarm.
- At 3:40 p.m. to Kristin Avenue for an emergency medical response.
- At 4:27 p.m. to 906 E. 2nd St. for a two-vehicle collision.
- At 8:23 p.m. to 107 W. 4th St. for a gas odor investigation.
