GILLETTE, Wyo. — A Wyoming native has returned to her home state as Campbell County Medical Group’s newest pediatrician, the healthcare organization announced Monday.
Originally from Casper, Dr. Laurel Green has joined the Main Clinic at Campbell County Health, having attained her medical degree through a multi-state program and completed her pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, according to a Feb. 12 release.
Green’s passion for pediatric care was ignited through her early exposure to healthcare — a combination of growing up in her family’s pediatric office and her childhood diagnosis of Type I diabetes, per the release, which says she is particularly drawn to building strong relationships with her patients and families for whom she serves as an advocate. Her passion extends to her love for newborns and deliveries.
“Being a part of deliveries is the most incredible experience,” she said in the release. “Sometimes, babies need a little help after delivery, and I love being the person who can help turn things around.”
When she’s not practicing medicine, Green enjoys spending time with her Australian Cattle dog and is an avid animal lover who provides care for rescued guinea pigs. She also embraces the Wyoming lifestyle in the outdoors and the region’s breathtaking beauty, the release says.
“Join us in welcoming Dr. Laurel Green back to Wyoming, where we know her experience and compassion will elevate the comprehensive pediatric care [CCMG] offers throughout northeast Wyoming,” the healthcare organization said in the release.
