CASPER, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming has produced several NFL players currently making an impact. Here’s how they did in the most recent week’s slate of games.

Tashaun Gipson Sr., San Francisco 49ers

Gipson, the last former Cowboy to play this season, had a strong outing in Super Bowl LVIII — his first Super Bowl appearance — though it came in a losing effort against the Kansas City Chiefs.

He finished the Super Bowl with five tackles and some excellent pass coverage in the secondary.

A journeyman who has played for the Browns, Bears, Jaguars and Texans prior to joining the Niners two seasons ago, Gipson was a calming veteran presence on the squad as well as a leader in the locker room all season long.

He finishes the 2023–24 season with 74 total tackles — 14 of which came in the postseason run.
