Campbell County Fire Dept. Report (1/30/24)

GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Campbell County Fire Department responded to the following incidents on Tuesday, Jan. 30:

  • At 9:48 a.m. to mile marker 129 on Interstate 90 for a single-vehicle collision.
  • At 11:43 a.m. to the intersection of East Boxelder Road and Butler Spaeth Road for a two-vehicle collision.
  • At 12:33 p.m. to 12381 N. Highway 59 for a vehicle fire.
  • At 2:12 p.m. to Glock Avenue for a small fire inside a room after a wireless speaker exploded.
  • At 2:40 p.m. to West Echeta Road for a report of two horses that had fallen through the ice of a pond. Firefighters used ice rescue equipment and a chainsaw to cut the ice, making a path for the horses to climb out near the shore.
  • At 2:57 p.m. to South Douglas Highway for a vehicle–pedestrian collision.
  • At 3:07 p.m. to East 6th Street for a vehicle fire.
  • At 4:18 p.m. to West 6th Street for an emergency medical response.
  • At 6:22 p.m. to Sierra Circle for an emergency medical response.
  • At 9:39 p.m. to Country Club Road for a single-vehicle collision.

Year to date, the Campbell County Fire Department has responded to 286 requests for service.
