The woman had reported earlier in the weekend that she had been a victim of credit fraud.

GILLETTE, Wyo. — For the third time, someone sent a Gillette woman a single Taco Bell hot sauce packet through DoorDash, according to the Gillette Police Department.

The suspicious activity was reported by the DoorDash driver, who suspected the order was a prank, Deputy Chief Brent Wasson told the media on Monday morning.

The woman on the 400 block of Clarion Drive, where the packet was sent, said it had happened twice before, Wasson said. Earlier in the weekend, she reported that someone had used her info to open a credit card and attempted to make $3,800 in purchases.

The woman was able to contact the bank and get off the hook for the fraudulent charges, according to that report.

The woman said her daughter had also been getting texts asking for her name. Police tried the number but it appeared to have been a spoofed number.

The investigation is ongoing.
