GILLETTE, Wyo. — City Attorney Sean Brown could receive a pay raise and additional vacation if an amendment to his city employment contract is approved by the Gillette City Council next week.
On Dec. 5, the council is expected to decide whether to increase Brown’s annual salary to $154,350 and give him five additional vacation days in a second amendment to his employment contract, according to the published agenda.
Brown’s tenure with the city began in 2022 after he was chosen to replace Anthoney Reyes, who resigned in 2021.
According to GovSalaries, Brown’s annual salary at the time of employment was $123,375, which was reportedly 31% higher than the average salary for city attorneys in Wyoming.
