CASPER, Wyo. — On Friday, the Wyoming Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for 10-month-old Zeke Gregory Best, who had allegedly been abducted by his father, Jeremy Albert Best. On Saturday, the elder Best was arrested after his son was found dead.
Jeremy Best was arrested near Idaho Falls, Idaho, after a pair of hunters called law enforcement upon seeing a man in a sleeping bag along the side of the road.
A press release stated that the man was “naked and making odd statements.” He was eventually identified as Jeremy Best, who was also wanted by the Teton County Sheriff’s Office for the alleged homicide of his wife, Kali Jean Randall.
His vehicle was located in an embankment off the roadway, and his infant son was found deceased at the scene.
“After a medical clearance, Mr. Best was transported to the Bonneville County Jail and booked for the outstanding Teton County Warrant,” the release states. “Best will remain incarcerated until arraignment before the court.”
