GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County Health Chief Operating Officer Jerry Klein will end his tenure at the end of the year, the healthcare organization announced Friday.

Jerry Klein (Campbell County Health)

Klein has served as CCH COO for the last three years, joining the organization in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, during which his leadership proved invaluable in getting CCH through and in securing a strategic affiliation with UCHealth, according to a Dec. 1 press release.

Additionally, Klein served as interim CEO during a transitional phase before the arrival of current CCH CEO Matt Shahan, the healthcare organization said.

“It has been a privilege to be part of the CCH family during such an important time in the organization’s history,” Klein said in a statement. “The dedication of the staff and their commitment to our patients and this community have left their mark on me.”

Shahan said Klein is a valued member of the healthcare organization’s executive team and expressed appreciation for everything he has accomplished during his time at CCH.

“We wish him nothing but the best in whatever and wherever he decides his next step will be,” Shahan said in a statement.

In the release, CCH said Klein’s commitment to excellence has left a lasting impression on the organization.

“We extend our deepest appreciation to him for his contributions to CCH, and we wish him nothing but success in his future endeavors,” the release states, adding that the healthcare organization will provide updates moving forward.
