Local counselor joins CCMG’s Behavioral Health Services

Leslie Mashak (Campbell County Health)

GILLETTE, Wyo. — A new counselor with more than a decade of experience in her field has joined Campbell County Medical Group’s Behavioral Health Services, or BHS, the healthcare organization announced Tuesday.

Longtime Gillette resident Leslie Mashak brings 12 years of experience as well as a deep commitment to supporting the community’s mental health and well-being to CCMG’s BHS, according to a Nov. 28 release.

Originally beginning her career as an educator, Mashak switched to pursue a career in counseling after realizing her ability to build meaningful and impactful relationships where she draws upon her natural strengths to guide and support individuals, per Campbell County Health.

In her career, Mashak has focused her practice on working with substance use clients, and her approach aims to guide clients toward positive growth because she finds joy in seeing their transformative journeys, CCH says.

“I am honored every day to witness the evolution of my clients,” Mashak said in the release. “Everyone is capable of it, and sometimes they just need a guide. I am blessed to get to be that person.”

In the release, CCMG BHS expressed confidence in Mashak’s expertise and compassionate approach, stating she will positively impact the lives of those seeking support and guidance in northeast Wyoming.

When not at work, Mashak enjoys spending quality time with her children and family. She also enjoys being outdoors and exploring new places, per CCH.
