LARAMIE, Wyo. — For the first time since 2019, the Wyoming Cowgirl volleyball team will be participating in postseason play. UW was recently selected to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship, announced Sunday night.

The Cowgirls will travel to Greeley, Colorado, to face South Dakota in the first round of the tournament, as Northern Colorado will be the host site for the first two rounds in Wyoming’s four-team pod.

Wyoming and the Coyotes will play at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30. Should the Cowgirls win, the second-round game will be Dec. 1 at 8 p.m.

Northern Colorado and Valparaiso comprise the rest of the four-team pod. The tournament is single-elimination, with all games being played at host-school sites.

This marks the fourth time UW will be playing in the NIVC. The Cowgirls made three consecutive trips to the tournament from 2017 to 2019.
