GILLETTE, Wyo. — One hunter’s loss could be another hunter’s gain with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department announcing availability for refunded hunting licenses this week.
According to a Nov. 20 press release from Game and Fish, state hunting regulations allow hunters to request a refund for their license if they meet certain criteria. Once approved, those licenses are made available to both resident and nonresident hunters for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis.
Per Game and Fish, refunded limited quota as well as nonresident regional deer and nonresident general elk licenses are available through a license-selling agent or directly through the department website.
Hunters looking to pick up one of these licenses are encouraged to check the Game and Fish website daily for availability, according to Game and Fish.
