GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County’s school board tonight recognized the Wright Junior Senior High School girls cross-country team, which was this year’s 2A state champion.
The five girls recognized at the Nov. 14 meeting are as follows, listed alongside their 5K times for the Oct. 14 Powder River Conference meet, which was at The Golf Club in Newcastle, according to WyoPreps:
- Carolina Navarro, a freshman, 22:42.84
- Kylie Benim, a senior, 23:01.29
- Caemlyn Nolte, a freshman, 23:08.91
- Laura Benim, a sophomore, 26:12.75
- Anaeli Salas, a junior, 26:37.94
At the Wyoming High School Athletic Association state cross-country championship, which was at the Cheyenne Country Club on Oct. 21, the girls had the following times, according to MileSplit Wyoming:
- Kylie Benim: 21:45.54
- Navarro: 22:37.69
- Nolte: 22:40.51
- Laura Benim: 24:49.12
- Salas: 27:24.58
Kylie, Navarro and Nolte received all-state honors, as they were in the top 10 finishers, the Wyoming Coaches Association announced.
