CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers seized 374 pounds of suspected raw marijuana after conducting a traffic stop for speeding near Cheyenne on Interstate 80 on Monday, Nov. 13.
William Parnell Slack, 51, of Washington is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and felony intent to deliver after troopers stopped him around milepost 380.
A booking sheet says a trooper saw several large garbage bags in the man’s vehicle while approaching it during the traffic stop. The trooper reported that while speaking with Slack, there was a strong odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The trooper conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle that resulted in finding 374 pounds of suspected raw marijuana and a small quantity of suspected THC-infused products.
Slack was taken into custody for questioning, and then taken to the Laramie County Detention Center for booking.
