CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming State Fair recently announced that general manager Courtny Conkle has been honored with the prestigious Fair Manager of the Year award at the 2023 Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs Convention in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Conkle has already made a significant impact on the fair industry, with over two decades of experience and a remarkable journey that began as a concessionaire in the family-owned Conkles Concessions.
Conkle’s passion for the fair industry was evident from a young age when she started working alongside her father, Christopher Conkle, in the family business. At the age of 20, she made history by becoming the youngest fair CEO, setting the stage for a series of record-breaking achievements throughout her career. In 2019, Conkle broke barriers again, becoming the first female Executive of the Wyoming State Fair.
Under Conkle’s leadership, the Wyoming State Fair has seen great growth, with attendance rising by over 120% during her tenure.
In addition to her contributions to the Wyoming State Fair, Conkle has actively worked with a multitude of fairs, leveraging her expertise to enhance the industry and provide valuable resources.
