GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County Health has engaged the services of a highly skilled nurse practitioner specializing in Pediatric Otolaryngology, the healthcare organization announced Wednesday.
On Nov. 1, Micayla Hinds was welcomed to Campbell County Medical Group’s Ear Nose and Throat Clinic, where her expertise and passion for helping children will be a valuable addition as she joins Dr. Ryan Black, per a CCH release.
Hinds told CCH that part of her reason for choosing Gillette was because of her positive interactions here, where everyone has been so welcoming and kind. Another reason was for Black’s approach to his practice and his enthusiasm for his work.
“I am thrilled to join the team at CCH and work alongside [Black],” she said in a statement. “I have always enjoyed working with kids, and being in the ENT field allows me to encounter a range of cases, which is both challenging and engaging as I work to consistently make a positive impact.
Hinds has always enjoyed working with children; that passion extended to her medical practice when she became a nurse practitioner after earning her Master of Science in Nursing from the MGH Institute for Health Professions, per CCH.
She says she’s excited to leverage her extensive training to provide exceptional healthcare to young patients with ear, nose and throat conditions.
Per CCH, Hinds sees her role as collaborative and believes in empowering families to make decisions for their children — helping families arrive at the right decision for them.
“For me, empowering parents in their children’s healthcare decisions is [of] the highest importance,” Hinds said in a statement. “I believe in collaborative decision-making, where parents play a crucial role in creating a treatment plan tailored to their child’s needs. Together, we can achieve the best possible outcomes.”
Hinds’s arrival will allow CCMG to elevate the level of ENT care it provides to the northeast Wyoming community, per the Nov. 1 release, which says her dedication to pediatric ENT care and patient-centric approach perfectly align with the healthcare organization’s goals.
