GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Rockpile Museum and Campbell County University of Wyoming Extension’s Wyoming Walks will have a tour Nov. 11 to honor Campbell County veterans in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, 804 Emerson Ave., Gillette.

It is an opportunity to honor and remember the veterans, who include George R. “Rock” Emigh, and their service, according to a Rockpile Museum news release. Rockpile Museum volunteer Greg Bennick will lead the free tour, which will begin at 3 p.m. in section B in the lower part of the cemetery. Participants can look for the yellow UW flag near the American Legion section.

At seven stops, leaders will discuss the brave sacrifices nine men and women made in serving the U.S. in wars including the Civil War and the Korean War, the release said. Participants can also learn about these individuals’ lives after their military service.

Walkers should dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Organizers invite them to stay after the tour to help cemetery staff and volunteers gather flags.
