GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County High School students have showcased their artistic talent on an unusual medium: the school’s parking lot.
Like in past years, winners of Camel Booster Club’s parking lot raffle received spots near the school’s main entrance. After receiving approval from administrators, the winning students had the freedom to decorate the spots as they wished. Some of their creations have withstood Wyoming weather.
The Camel Booster Club announced the winners’ names in an August Facebook post: Hailey Creary, Gabby Given, Ethan Lemke, Aidan Dorr, Patience Smith, Tatum Sorenson, Avery Gray, Zane Morrison, Karlie Balfzanz, Isabella Halbrooks, Conner Murray, Michael Biggs, Lauren Kuhbacher, Mason Kuhbacher, Fischer Smith, Reese Dorr and Jackson Laakso.
When County 17 swung by the school today to take these photos, one painted parking spot was covered. A few others had been painted but the paint has worn away too much to see a design. Other spots have not yet been painted.
The Camels Booster Club supports the school’s students’ education, school spirit and sportsmanship. Their website is here and their Facebook page is here.
