GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County Health has recognized a member of its Materials Management Department with a quarterly excellence award, the healthcare organization announced this week.
Jeannette Tollefsrud was announced as the recipient of the healthcare organization’s Be Excellent Every Day, or BEE, Award on Oct. 11 for her efforts to keep supplies coming to the hospital, per CCH.
“From consistently going above and beyond in her role, navigating through supply chain issues during the pandemic, and always being incredibly helpful — [Tollefsrud] was a perfect candidate for the BEE Award,” CCH said on its social media page.
The BEE Award complements the DAISY Award, a national recognition available only to nurses, CCH Public Relations Lead Norberto Orellana said in an email to County 17.
Seeking a way to recognize non-nursing staff who go above and beyond in their roles, CCH nurses established the BEE Award in 2020 in recognition of those staff members and their pivotal role that is essential in determining the level of care that the healthcare organization can provide, per Orellana.
“Much like a daisy and a bee need each other to thrive, so too do nursing and non-nursing staff need each other to deliver excellent patient care,” Orellana said.
Anyone can complete a nomination form for someone they believe is deserving of the BEE Award; the nomination is available on CCH’s website.
“Celebrate with us in congratulating Jeanette’s show of Excellence Every Day,” CCH said. “Thank you, Jeanette!”
