GILLETTE, Wyo. — The Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County invites parents to attend an open house Sept. 28 that will showcase its opportunities for youth.
The event runs from 6 to 7 p.m. at the organization’s main site, 410 Lakeside Drive, Gillette. In addition to building tours, there will be an ice cream social and a community art project, according to an event announcement. Children will help create a “rock snake” sculpture that will be on display at the front of the building.
“It gives our youth a chance to be a part of something big and leave a lasting mark on our club,” Alexandria Cartwright, a youth development professional and family engagement coordinator for the organization, said about the art project.
The club provides after-school programming, full-day summer education and character-building programming for youths ages 5–18. More information is available on its website.
Executive Director Brittney Locken became the organization’s executive director May 30. Nathan Grotrian, the organization’s former director, took over for Bob Tranas in the position of executive director of Campbell County Children’s Developmental Services.
